Advantages of the Gift Cards for Kroger Fundraisers

 

ü  You can recharge your card and pay for the recharges with cash, check or credit card.

ü  Gift cards are more durable and easier to carry.

o   You can carry the gift card in your wallet like a credit card, and there is no need to worry about accidentally washing and destroying them like paper certificates!!

ü  You purchase one card, ONE time.

o   You don’t need to be in constant contact with Heritage Athletics Booster Club to help support them.

o   You are supporting the Heritage Athletics Booster Club fundraising on your own time!!

ü  You no longer have to endorse the back of the gift certificate and no identification is required to use a gift card.

ü  You can always find the balance of your gift card by looking on your latest receipt (cut this section off and put with your gift card)

o   or by calling the 1-866-822-6252

o   or go on the Kroger internet website using the pin number on the card.

ü  The gift card is accepted in all Kroger Stores throughout the U.S. and can be sent to family and friends out of state and still benefit Heritage Athletics Booster Club fundraising.

o   as long as the card is recharged.

ü  You can recharge your card anytime, at any Kroger store, for any amount up to $500.

ü  Can be used as a gas card for those who do not carry cash or bank ATM card. Are you looking for a gas card for your student driver? Get a Kroger RELOADABLE gift card – Accepted at all Kroger fuel stations.

 

Information:

 

Once the card is depleted, be sure you continue to recharge it.

Depleted cards ($0 balance) are deleted from the system after 90 days.

At that point, the card cannot be re-charged for Heritage Athletics Booster Club.

A new card will need to be purchased from Heritage Athletics Booster Club.

Your gift card can be used for anything, including fuel and prescriptions, in Kroger stores with the exception of services.

ü  Services include: Money Orders, Western Union, Lottery Tickets, Hunting/Fishing License and Ticket Master.

ü  You cannot buy Kroger gift cards with a gift card.

 

If you want to recharge your card and use it for your purchase:

ü  you have to pay for the recharge first, then make your purchase.

o   This can be done in the cashier’s line prior to ringing your groceries.

o   If done at the front desk you must wait 5-7 minutes before your money appears on the gift card. This has to be done in two transactions.

o   Always keep at least a dollar on your card. A card with a zero balance for a period of 90 days will be taken out of the system.

 

If a gift card cannot be recharged, a new card has to be purchased from the Heritage Athletics Booster Club.

Occasionally a card is demagnetized and cannot be recharged. Things that demagnetize gift cards:

magnetic latch on purse or wallet, eel skin wallet or purse, money clip, cell phone, anything with a speaker. Usually recharge problems are due to human error.

Have the cashier manually enter the card number and get it to a zero balance until all money is used.

Throw that card away and get a new card from Heritage Athletics Booster Club.

 

A card purchased in a store CANNOT be linked to Heritage Athletics Booster Club or any of the Schools fundraising.

Purchase of Kroger Gift Card:

 

You can purchase your Kroger Gift card ONLY by contacting Karen Bailey (President) or thru this website. (if you purchase your gift card at the store, the Heritage Athletics Booster Club does not receive any money from the purchase of those cards).

To purchase Kroger Gift Card using this website:

ü  Must fill out the order form (select the Gift Card image below)

o   The form will allow you to choose to have the card mailed to you or be picked up at White House Heritage High School

ü  Must pay $5 thru Heritage Athletics Booster Club Paypal (select the PayPal image on this page)

o   This will give you a preloaded $5 starter card that you can load up at the Kroger store. (no fees will be subtracted for this service – the $5 you pay is your $5 dollars to spend)

 

You must complete both tasks above before the card will be purchased by the Heritage Athletics Booster Club.
